Tulip Festival

Even though it was last month, the Tulip Festival pictures were just too funny not to post.
I will narrate Josh's comments during the taking of each picture.

#1: "You just want to sit down right here? Why?"

#2: "What is the point of this? What are we even taking a picture of?"

#3: "Hurry there's people coming. I'll stay like this for 5 more seconds."

#4: "Kiss? Ok, you are seriously just trying to make me feel stupid."

Sorry, I couldn't resist this one.

#5: "Wow. I feel so gay right now."

Cute Tiff and Jared.

Admiring the biggest manmade waterfall in North America.

Even though it was a torturous trip for Josh, it was still beautiful and I enjoyed it!
Though I don't think we'll be going back again for some reason.

Wedding Video

Click here to see our wedding video!

And just because it was so cute...

Aren't they beautiful? Josh brought me home a dozen red roses just because I was having a bad day. Each rose had a piece of paper taped to it with a reason he loves me.
What a husband.

Animal Frenzy

I had completely forgotten the existence of the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City until Josh and I were driving up to Park City on the 215 a couple weeks ago and saw the signs. I couldn't even wait until we both had a day off so we could go!

Patiently awaiting the start of the Bird Show.

I loved this little guy.  A Mara is one of the few mammals that has one mate its whole life...
how is that not endearing!

This little guy knew how to strike a pose. We couldn't stop laughing.

You shy?

I couldn't believe the moment had between this child and this ape. Unreal.

Oh hey guy. Wanna come home with us?

Nothing like a Sonic root beer float after a hot day at the zoo.

Since the elephant couldn't come home with us, we decided to bring this little guy home instead!
Meet Buster.
We just happened to take a different route home and pass a house with a sign that said "Free Kittens."
Josh immediately pulled over and I hopped out to knock on the door.
Upon entering the home, the lady brought out 3 adorable 9-week-old kittens.
It was love at first sight!
We are thoroughly embarrassed that we are officially "cat people," (having 2 cats now) especially considering neither of us have ever been cat fans - at ALL. But cats are easier than kids by a long shot, so why not?

Overall, zoo day equaled a big success.

Double Deuces

My birthday was one of the best I've ever had, thanks to Josh!

The morning started out with being woken up with a birthday song in Josh's lovely vibrato voice with a plate of french toast being put on my lap (my eyes weren't even open yet mind you).  Even though I had to go to class and Josh to work for a couple of hours, the morning set my day off right.

Our first stop after school & work was to the Utah County Animal Shelter. Anyone that really knows me would not be surprised by my choice of birthday recreation: animal shelter...and shopping, of course.

After seeing all of my little furry friends at the shelter, we headed up to Park City to do some outlet shopping.  I finally found some success there at the J.Crew and Banana Republic stores after weeks of failed shopping trips to Salt Lake and University Mall.  And upon exiting the Nike store, this beautiful sight was awaiting us just for my birthday.

Followed by this beautiful puppy in the parking lot. I couldn't get enough of her fluff!

After Park City, we drove back down to Orem to Texas Roadhouse Grill
for a dinner Josh had organized!

Following dinner, we went to Dillon & Sara's to watch The Bachelorette. Josh had sweetly planned to have a birthday cupcake with candles waiting at their house just so I could have something to blow out on my birthday.

Just ignore that my head looks like it has been photoshopped onto my body.

And now I am blogging from my new Macbook Pro from my AMAZING husband! I couldn't be happier. What a great birthday!

Weekend of Fun

Tracy and Dan were able to fly up for a quick visit last weekend, and they sure brought the fun with them. We loved having them here! In our short amount of time, we accomplished quite a bit:

Gay-friendly motorcycle rides.
Shopping - and LOTS of it.
(The boys actually purchased more than the girls).

Magleby's Breakfast.
And the best event of the weekend: the Bruno Mars Concert!
Reaching out for Tracy and I.

What a guy.

Yep, this happened.

 Sister Love.

Overall, it was an amazing weekend. Come back soon, Tracy & Dan!

Fun in the Utah Sun

The sun has finally decided to make its appearance here in Utah (I mean, now that it's June and all...). To celebrate, Josh and I purchased the Pass of All Passes!  This gets us into Seven Peaks, Trafalga (mini golfing, race cars, laser tag, etc), Orem Owls games, and Utah Flash games for a year. Why not, you know?

Tough guy.
About to golf or beat me with the putter?

And a quick stop at the Orem skate park.

We loved our first taste of summer!
